The Legend 2350 is one of Rayglass’s most popular boats with good reason. This versatile vessel is classy and capable, perfect for long-range fishing and cruising - with plenty of room for large families or groups. Despite all that space it’s still easily towable and manageable for one or two boaties.
That’s why, when our client asked us to take the 2350 and deck it out with all the best gear, and luxury fittings - our team was excited to get started. We think you’ll agree, the results are pretty special.
From lake to ocean
Our clients are a Rotorua-based family who wanted a highly capable boat that could easily be towed from lake to coast, so the Legend 2350 was the ideal choice. They needed the vessel fully equipped for long-haul family cruising and deep sea fishing, with all the latest tech from Simrad, and a few special additions from our upholsters.
Ultimately, we needed to build a luxurious, high-tech cruiser to help them make the most of their family adventures.
Introducing the Mad Hatter - the Luxe Legend 2350
Our crew at the factory went a little crazy when fitting out the Mad Hatter and included just about every luxury feature available on the Legend 2350.
That includes an advanced Simrad 16” screen and a 1kW transducer, perfect for helping the owners hunt down some fish for dinner. Next we added Simrad autopilot, and a Halo 24 Radar to watch the weather.
All the standard features of the 2350 were also featured, including huge underfloor bins for storage, a washdown hose at stern, lockable rod storage and a toilet in the cabin.
Luxury upholstery & fishing gear
Once the tech was installed our upholsterers and fit-out crew got ahold of the vessel and added a range of features for comfort and convenience. That includes cushy captain seats, built for comfort on long trips, and premium, diamond stitched upholstery.
Next they added SeaDek flooring and a hot, cold fresh water shower for those long days out on the boat.
We also added a bunch of fishing gear, from additional rod holders in the gunwales, to double rocket launchers and electric reel outlets. Last of all the Mad Hatter is powered by a grunty Mercury 270hp V6 Diesel sterndrive - inbuilt to give the owners extra usable deck space at the stern of their vessel.
Year round boating
The 2350 is built to be comfortable in any weather, with wide turn-down chines and a spacious hard-top cabin with comfy mattress for overnighting. Because of that we reckon the proud new owners of the Mad Hatter will be out there on the lake all year-round enjoying her. We hope so anyway!
