Current job opening:

Marine Engine Installer

In this role you will installing both Inboard & outboard marine engines, and various other electronics in boats ranging in size from 22 feet to 42 feet. You’ll be installing brand new equipment onto brand new boats. You will need to complete these to a high quality, flawless finish within our standard production times.

Duties include but are not limited to:
• Fitting of engines and associated engine packages
• Fitting of electronic packages, radar, GPS, radios etc.
• Wiring of looms and switch panels etc
• Complete final detailing and QC checklists
• From time to time other tasks relating to production boat building/fitout

Experience in marine engine fit-out is not necessarily required, but some type of experience with 12v electrical systems would be an advantage

This is a full time position, Mon-Fri 7.30am to 4.00pm with an expected amount of seasonal overtime when required.

Boat Lamination Specialist:

Rayglass Boats is looking for keen, fit people to join our growing boat lamination team based in Pakuranga.

In this role you will laminate high quality production power boats. A knowledge of fibreglass in general is desirable, even if you may not have laminated boats before.

We are willing to train the right applicant for this role. This could be an opportunity for a school leaver to get into the marine industry and develop a real skills bases career.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Waxing and preparing moulds
- Gelcoat application
- Laminating Hulls & Decks
- Sanding and grinding finished products
- Realising products from moulds

Other duties from time to time:
- Flocoating and speckling components
- Assembly of hulls and decks
- Assisting in other areas of fibreglass boat building

This is a full time position, Mon-Fri 7.30am to 4.00pm with an expected amount of seasonal overtime when required.

Boat Assembly Specialist

In this role you will assemble high quality production power boats. If you can you use power tools confidentially and have an eye for detail then this could be for you.

We are willing to train the right applicant for this role. This could be an opportunity for a school leaver or similar to enter into the New Zealand Marine Industry and develop a real skills bases career.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Marking, cutting, grinding and sanding of fibreglass components
  • Pre-fitting components to hull and decks
  • Preparing, joining, fibre glassing and fairing
  • Flo coating and speckling components
  • Fibreglass and gelcoat repairs
  • Assembly of hulls and decks
  • Production and quality control checklists
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety

This is a full time position, Mon-Fri 7.30am to 4.00pm with an expected amount of seasonal overtime when required.

Boat Fitout Specialist

In this role you will fit-out boats ranging in size from 22 feet to 42 feet. You’ll be installing brand new equipment onto brand new boats. You will need to complete these to a high quality, flawless finish within our standardized production times.

Duties include but are not limited to:
• Fitting of all exterior/interior hardware.
• Wiring of looms and switch panels.
• Fitting of upholstery.
• Installation of fuel, water and plumbing systems.
• Fitting of GRP and electronic components.
• Final detailing and quality control checklists.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety.

Experience in marine fit-out is not necessarily required, but an eye for detail and competent with hand/power tools would serve you well. If this is you then we can teach you the rest.

This is a full time position, Mon-Fri 7.30am to 4.00pm with an expected amount of seasonal overtime when required.
