Rayglass has released a range of new Protectors in the lead up to the 2021 America’s Cup in Auckland.
The new 250 Chase and 310 Targa are the first in a classy new range of Protector RIBs that features harder edges and a noticeably more masculine and modern appearance in its cabin and centre console designs.
Looking great both on the water and at the dock, the new range is available in two configurations: the Chase centre console and the enclosed cabin Targa.
The new 7.5m Protector 250 Chase can carry 250-400hp and has a fuel capacity of 320 litres.
Light and compact and easy to launch and tow, it also offers a smooth, high performance ride even in rough seas. With an advanced hull design the 250 Chase both performs effortlessly in rough waters and manoeuvres easily in high traffic areas. There’s a large dash for dual GPS screens, modern styling, and room for a private toilet.
With ample space on the deck for the whole crew and the large bimini offering plenty of protection from the weather, the new Protector 250 Chase is the perfect boat for family fun or as a yacht tender.
The 310 Targa is a 9m RIB designed to be powered by 400hp to 800hp outboards and has a fuel capacity of 495 litres.
Ideal for both commercial/patrol and recreational use, the new 310 Targa features Protector’s renowned toughness and durability and delivers a comfortable and predictable ride in any weather.
With a full walk-through to the front of the boat for easy access to the bow, thru-hull anchoring and a large hardtop with glass windscreen, it also boasts an ergonomic seating configuration, twin bunks in the cabin and an onboard toilet.
The first twenty-four 310 Targas will be used as patrol vessels by the America’s Cup management team. Powered by twin 225hp V6 Mercury 4-stroke outboards, at the conclusion of the regatta, they will be handed over to regional Coastguard organisations to help them better save lives at sea.
Future models in the new Protector range include the 310, 330 and 380 Chase and the 330, 380 and 410 Targa.
